Hanukah update

Well, there re quite a few things to update about!

Where shall I start?

First, winter is here. Temperature got down to -10 or so, a little bit of snow but lots of ice. It is getting nice to be inside in the evening with the fire place on.

Last Saturday I went to a bar-mitzvah. Someone from Suzans side, the connection is complicated. It was really nice, synagogue in the morning, followed by lunch. Unfortunately, Denise couldn’t join because she was at work.

In the evening Denise and I went to see a musical. It was great! Really funny with great music. It is called “The Toxic Avenger” and it is based on a really bad movie from the 80’s. It was in the Greek part of the city so we went for some Greek food afterward.

I added a picture of us with the fireplace going. It is kind of nice to have it going, very cozy. I know you would have liked it, but it is a tradeoff between the weather being very cold outside so we can have a nice fire inside.

As you know, it is Hanukah. I found some candles form last year but Denise got a new package as well as some SVIVONIM, with a little package of cards with questions about Hanukah. We lit the candles and had some dinner. It is nice to have the Hanukiya by the window and the fireplace going.

We have a nice weekend coming up, I will write more about it Sunday night.
