Happy 44th Birthday Denise

Celebrating my birthday this year took lots of different forms and of course included some masks and some Zoom meetings!

First, a celebration at Grandma and Grandpa's. We had Swiss Chalet and the traditional birthday cake:

On Sunday we headed to Grimsby to pick up some custom watercolour paintings I had made. I'm going to do a separate post about those. While there, we came across a lovely neighbourhood called Grimsby Beach with adorable painted gingerbread cottages. What a surprise to find in Grimsby!! Of course Jacob and I fantasized about moving there!

We also had ice cream at a cute shoppe in Grimsby (takeout of course!)

On Monday, my actual 44th bday, the day started with cupcakes for breakfast - Red Velvet!

My big present was a Lego Ideas set - the treehouse I had wanted for years! I finally found it for a reasonable price on Kijiji so this was my moment!

That evening, we had sushi and a Zoom call with Debbie and Danny. They kindly set up time to visit virtually for my birthday.

That evening, we visited not one but two skateparks. My perfect birthday evening 😆 (#momlife).

When we returned, we enjoyed cake and called it a night.

The next day, I had a lovely call with my friends Shawna, Heather, and Melanie over Zoom. They even dressed up in costumes to celebrate my b-day...

So fun what can be done over Zoom these days!!

All and all, what a lovely birthday, with it's special pandemic related features, making it very memorable!
