Birthday Party and Shakshuka!

On March 20th my mom Audrey turned 70.  I organized a celebration for her at Crossroads Restaurant in Elmira, Ontario last Saturday.  There were about 30 guests including family members, friends, and lots of their children!  The party was a big success - my mom had a great time and luckily the balloons I brought for decorations provided hours of fun for the children!  Here are two pictures from Saturday.

I didn't take any pictures of Yoav or me but others did so maybe they will forward them.  I didn't get great pictures since the lighting was bad.  That's ok!  Well Yoav is snoring beside me (and I usually fall asleep hours ahead of him!) so I shall stop uploading pictures and go to sleep.  Lyla tov!

Habuk ve neshikot,

Denise

PS Toda for the quinoa recipe.  I will definitely try it!

OK, this is Yoav now. I will try and upload some more pictures, not necessarily from the birthday.

Denises hair is long for a pony-tail!

Sometimes we actually do some work at home, but mostly Denise, I can't concentrate at home and need to go to the library.

A while ago I introduced Denise to the wonders of Shakshuka and she LOVES it. She is making it almost every day. We usually make a big batch of the shakshuka sauce and freeze it and then just defrost a little and make the eggs. She became quite an expert! Just wait until August and she'll make you some.
